This feels like a public service announcement. It needs flashing neon lights and a news alert because what I’m about to share with you could be the difference between being manipulated or scammed—or not. I realize that sounds dramatic, but I genuinely believe this is important for you to know.
In this episode, I’m going to show you how you can use ChatGPT to identify personality traits that might make you more susceptible to being scammed or manipulated—sometimes without you even realizing it. I’ll share a ChatGPT prompt that will essentially create a blueprint of your personality and highlight the aspects that make you vulnerable. Then, we’ll use ChatGPT to help you create an action plan to protect yourself.
Overview
I can’t take credit for this idea. I actually came across it on a Reddit post where someone asked, “What is the most creative or useful way you’ve used ChatGPT that most people don’t know about?” One response, from a user named Mojofsky, stood out to me. They requested a CIA-style psychological profile to identify their strengths and weaknesses, including how they could be manipulated. This idea blew my mind—especially in a world where marketers have become experts at psychological persuasion.
I wanted to be able to detect authenticity and genuine value in the messages I receive, so I asked ChatGPT to create a psychological blueprint for me. The results were eye-opening.
Psychological Blueprint ChatGPT Prompt
“I want to create a psychological blueprint of myself to understand my vulnerabilities to manipulation and how to strengthen my resilience. Act like a CIA analyst, profiling me objectively but constructively. If needed, ask me questions to refine your analysis.
Break this down into five sections:
- Core Psychological Profile – Analyze my beliefs, motivations, and personality traits.
- Cognitive Biases & Blind Spots – Identify where I might be prone to self-deception or external influence.
- Emotional Triggers – Highlight situations, behaviors, or tactics that elicit strong emotional reactions from me.
- Manipulation Susceptibility – Explain how someone might attempt to influence me based on my weaknesses.
- Resilience & Defense Strategies – Provide actionable steps to counteract my vulnerabilities.
If you need more information to personalize this, ask me targeted questions before proceeding.”
If you’re using the paid version of ChatGPT, it can pull data from your previous chats. If you’re using the free version, ChatGPT will ask you questions to gather the necessary information.
Example from my profile
I’ll share a few insights from my own profile. One key finding was that I am highly self-aware and introspective. This means I’m resistant to superficial manipulation but can be vulnerable to overanalyzing and self-doubt. It also pointed out that I value evidence and knowledge, meaning I could be influenced by someone who presents themselves as an authority, even if they’re not.
I thought back to times when I had been convinced to purchase things that didn’t turn out to be as valuable as I expected. The use of complex terminology and appearing more knowledgeable than they actually were played a big role in these situations. If I had this information beforehand, I might have been more cautious.
Actionable Steps to Strengthen Your Resilience
Now that you’re aware of your vulnerabilities, the next step is taking action to protect yourself.
Recognize Your Emotional Triggers
Become aware of moments when you feel rushed, guilty, pressured, or uncertain.
Use this ChatGPT prompt to analyze these moments:
“I just experienced a situation where I felt [emotion]. I want to analyze this moment objectively. What triggered me? What thoughts or fears were activated? How could someone use this to influence me? How can I respond differently next time?”
Roleplay Scenarios
If you struggle with confrontation or saying no, use ChatGPT to practice.
Use this prompt:
“I tend to feel uncomfortable when [situation]. I want to build resilience by practicing responses. Pretend you are a pushy salesperson, a critical boss, or a manipulative friend and challenge me. After I respond, give me feedback to refine my approach.”
Strengthen Your Internal Validation
Use ChatGPT to reframe self-doubt with this prompt:
“I’m struggling with self-doubt because [reason]. Act as a mindset coach and challenge my thinking. What are alternative ways to look at this? How would my future self five years from now respond? What are three affirmations I can use to reframe my mindset?”
These prompts turn ChatGPT into a personalized mindset coach, helping you reinforce your resilience in real-time.
