Feeling Lost? ChatGPT Can Help You Find Clarity—Have You Tried Using It This Way?

If you have that feeling that something needs to change, but you don’t know what it is, or maybe you do, but you’re unsure how to move forward, then you need to start using ChatGPT. In today’s episode, we are going to cover how ChatGPT can support you along your journey when there is a gap between where you are and where you want to be.

I’m going to walk you through how I use ChatGPT and how you can utilize it to figure out what you truly want and then implement it step by step toward achieving your goals.

People often feel that when they talk to ChatGPT, they can speak freely without fear of judgment. This allows them to uncover root causes of their concerns more easily than if they were speaking with someone they are not comfortable with.

Figuring Out What You Truly Want

When we feel that something needs to change, the first step is to figure out what we truly want. This, in my experience, is the hardest part. When you’re clouded with indecision, it can be challenging to gain clarity. I’ve created two videos that can help if this is where you’re stuck.

The first video walks you through a prompt designed to settle your nervous system so you can discover what you truly want, free from external conditioning. This prompt can be copied and pasted into ChatGPT, which will then guide you through the process.

Overcoming Indecision

The second video helps you break through analysis paralysis and indecision by offering tools for better decision-making.

One thing that can be really helpful is being mindful of the language you use. Many people frame choices as an “either/or” scenario, such as “I can pursue my passion or have financial stability.” Instead, shifting to “I can pursue my passion and have financial stability” opens up new perspectives and possibilities.

Be-Do-Have Framework For Self-Improvement

Another useful framework is the Be-Do-Have model. The idea is that before achieving something, we need to embody the mindset of the person who would achieve that goal. For example, instead of waiting to become confident before taking action, take action in a way that builds confidence. Think of this as a staircase—each step requires a small shift in identity and action that moves you closer to your goal.

  • ChatGPT can assist in this process by helping you uncover limiting beliefs, identify key habits, and boost self-confidence. You can ask ChatGPT things like,
  • “What are the mindsets and tendencies of someone who has achieved this goal?” or
  • “Can you help me identify the beliefs that are holding me back?”

Another helpful resource I’ve created is a self-confidence game in ChatGPT. You copy and paste the prompt, and ChatGPT takes on the role of a guide, helping you explore your values and decision-making process in real time.

When it comes to taking action, ChatGPT can be an excellent brainstorming partner. If your goal is to start a side hustle, for instance, ChatGPT can help you set up your tech stack, figure out a website, email providers, and more. Instead of spending hours researching, you can have ChatGPT quickly provide tailored solutions.

You can also use ChatGPT as an accountability partner by setting reminders or creating custom GPTs that will check in with you. I personally created Success Sage, an accountability bot that emails you with progress check-ins.

Once you achieve your goal, ChatGPT can help with what’s next by preventing the post-achievement slump. A good prompt to use in this phase is:

  • “Now that I’ve achieved my goal, what would be the next natural step that aligns with my values and growth?”

Understanding that feeling low after success is normal can help you navigate this phase with intention.

So, if you’re not yet using ChatGPT to accelerate your success, you’re missing out. It can help you gain clarity, take action, and stay accountable.
